‘Perfect Picnic’ is the Scheepjes 2026 crochet-along (CAL) blanket.
The 8 week CAL will start on 21st October and the pattern will be available free on the Scheepjes website:

This design was originally my ‘Picnic on the Beach’ blanket which was a CAL I hosted on my website back in 2021.
The design has now been reimagined with 6 all new picnic themes and colour-ways which is very exciting!

It’s a rectangular blanket measuring approximately 135cm x 105cm (53 inches x 41 inches). The CAL is designed using either Scheepjes Colour Crafter or Scheepjes Cotton Create DK. Tension is different for these yarns and the cotton version comes up a little smaller.

There are lots of different crochet techniques including Tunisian Entrelac and plenty of textured stitches to create different patterns including basketweave. There will be detailed YouTube video tutorials to accompany the CAL.
