DESCRIPTION
Learn how to crochet a simple single crochet scarf. This total beginner pattern is an easy first project for new crocheters.
I love using simple techniques to crochet beautiful things. This easy scarf features the basic single crochet stitch.
The single crochet stitch makes a great scarf. It’s nice and tight so the scarf will be warm.
Plus the single crochet works great for men’s accessories. Since I’m using a print yarn that changes colors, using a simple stitch works best.
The scarf is totally beginner friendly. You only need to know how to chain, single crochet and finish off.
You can also customize this scarf easily. Since it’s single crochet you can make it as wide or narrow as you like.

• MATERIALS
4 balls of Lion Brand’s Woolspun* (100g/3.5oz ea) in Quarry Print, or 432yds/395m of a comparable #5 chunky weight yarn. I used 3 balls and my scarf is 54″ which feels just a tad short, that’s why I recommend 4 balls.
6.5mm US K-10.5 crochet hook, I’m using my turquoise Odyssey
Large eye yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Scissors
SIZING
7” wide x 54” long; and is easily adjustable

STITCHES/SKILLS
Chain, single crochet

GAUGE
4″/10cm x 4″/10cm = 11 sc x 12 rows of sc
