A bit of lace and soft, silky yarn for a little baby!

The Pikku-Lilli Bonnet is not just lovely to look at but also interesting to knit. It is knit in one piece (with one short grafted seam) beginning with lace and stripes and ending with the back head crown shaping.

I used several different yarns for the little bonnets:

The bonnet with the green silk ribbon:
Alchemy Silk Purse in Sugar Mountain colorway and Rowan Kidsilk Haze in color 633 held double for the piping.

The off-white bonnet:
Drops Baby Alpaca Silk in color 0100

The pink/white bonnet:
Sandnes Garn Lanett (colors pink 4402/off-white 1012)

The red bonnet:
Drops Safran (100% cotton) color 20 for the main body, Sandnes Garn Mandarin Petit color 1002 for the piping. (The cotton bonnet became slightly bigger with the recommended needle size.)
