This pattern is offered at a reduced price as an educational tool and sample of the construction of Redtigerdesigns socks. The pattern includes both double-point needle and “any-needle” versions and a single-use discount code for other Redtigerdesigns patterns.

These basic mid-calf length socks will quickly become a staple in your handknit wardrobe. The simple pattern is suitable for any fingering weight sock yarn including solid, semi-solid, self-patterning, and variegated.

These socks feature smooth stockinette for the legs and feet, generous ribbing to prevent the socks from slipping down, a durable slip-stitch heel, and the unique Redtigerdesigns toe. The pattern includes a tutorial for working this toe, which grafts stitches from side-to-side, to create a visually pleasing and comfortable toe.

Techniques Required:

  • knit, purl and simple decreases
  • working small circumferences in the round
  • grafting using kitchener stitch

A kCDesigns version of this pattern, already set up for use in KnitCompanion, is available through Create2Thrive.
