Poche is knit bottom up and joined in the round at the underarm. The classic knit silhouette of saddle-shoulder and crew-neck is created through increases, decreases, and short rows. The side placket is certainly functional for babies (and their enormous heads), but also adds a grown-up detail to this posh little knit.

I love the leather and fabric pocket (poche) that gives this darling little knit a personalized twist and grown-up feel. If there is anything sweeter than a little wiggle wearing a grown-up sweater I have yet to find it.

With enough challenge to keep it interesting, and enough detailing to make it beautiful, Poche still knits up quickly for a satisfying finish.

This pattern is also available in Adult sizes if you (like me) can’t resist a matching knit!
