The Pocket People pattern is beginner friendly, quick, and no-sew! It includes instructions for crocheting optional long hair (pigtails hairstyle), as well as two head accessories: a bonnet hood and a baseball cap. The doll body base is very versatile and can be easily customized. There are also variations and options available for crocheting them with rounded nubs for “hands” and “feet”, or without for a more “dangly limbs” look. Instructions are also available for customizing the shirt edging to make it into a shirt, or a more pronounced skirt/dress/babydoll top sort of style.
This doll can be kept as a squishy plush with super bulky blanket or chenille velvet yarn. It can also be turned into a small “keychain” size with thinner weight yarns and a smaller hook. Crochet a family of varying sizes by using different weights of yarn. You can also increase height by adding additional body rounds or stitches to the arms/legs. Play with different yarn color combinations for the clothing to make stripes for the shirt.
This miniature person is great as a birthday gift, Christmas or holiday gift, as party favors, or market and craft fair products. These pretend play toys are gender neutral and unisex, and easy to personalize as a mini me doll! Kids and adults alike will enjoy this cute stuffed amigurumi. The fully-tested PDF pattern includes complete written instructions with 35 step-by-step progress photos and the video tutorial link.
