It seems we never have enough pockets and seldom remember to have our gloves with us. These Pockets and Mittens scarves are the answer.
Make one on your circular sock machine.
The projects shown here are made with a 60 cylinder. For other cylinder sizes, follow the pattern and get a wider or more narrow result.
Make with colorful stripes or self-striping yarn. It takes a lot of yarn, about 175 gms. Using contrasting yarn for linings and stripes will help extend your main color.
Skills requires: make toes and do flat web knitting ( knitting back and forth)
The deep pockets are knit with a lining for extra warmth. The project stays on the machine from one end to the other.

I have worn mine to sporting events with a cell phone in one side and a water bottle in the other! Then I was ready for the temperature drop that always seems to happen in the bleachers!
