The Poppy Adult Cardigan, is a burst of floral inspired knitting to get us through the late winter thaw. Although there is still snow on the ground in our Northern home, I am dreaming of flowers.

This design features a retro silhouette, simple stranded color-work, and contrasting cuffs and button bands.

It is worked top-down in the round with round yoke shaping. After the sleeves are worked, and the button bands picked up, the cardigan is steeked and finished.

Ease & Fit:
This garment is designed to fit with a little ease in the yoke, shoulders and sleeves. Then, under the bust line, the rib area will have approximately 2-4”/5-10 cm of positive ease. Then the garment is shaped to fit with less ease at the waistband.
The length of the body ends slightly cropped, hugging the top of the hip bones.

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn 100% wool, non-superwash
Needles: Sizes US 7 & 8/4.5 & 5 mm
DPNs or 9”/23 cm circulars & 50-64”/127- 162.5 cm size US 7 & 8/4.5 & 5 mm circulars

Notions: Stitch markers (at least 1 of them safety pin style), yarn needle, ribbon for steek ends, sharp scissors, thread, buttons x5-7, crochet hook size 5 mm, and measuring tape
