Porcupine Pincushion
Make Your Own Little Porcupine Pincushion
This pattern comes in three sizes depending on the amount of pins you’d like to organize. It is suitable for experienced crocheters at intermediate level using US terminology and pictures to describe how to crochet and assemble all the parts to make a porcupine.
Crochet skills needed
• Magic ring
• Single crochet
• Half double crochet
• Double crochet
• Increasing and decreasing
• Working in a spiral
Materials needed
• Crochet hook size: G/4.00mm and E/3.5mm
• Yarn: DK / 8-ply / Light Worsted (any brand)
• Yarn needle
• Black safety eyes: 8mm
• Polyester fiber fill stuffing
• Head pins
Note: Safety eyes can be found online or at your local craft store. The safety eyes are highly recommended, but they can be substituted with black buttons, paper fasteners or yarn if you prefer.
Final measurement (LxWxH)
• SMALL Approx. 11x8x8cm // ±100 head pins
• MEDIUM Approx. 12x9x10cm // ±200 pins or 100 hat pins up to 10cm
• LARGE Approx. 13x10x12cm // ±300 pins or 150 hat pins up to 12cm
