Portia is a big statement shawl with bold, luxurious cables. It is knitted from tip to edge, then finished with a border that is worked perpendicular to the body. Increases are worked on one side only to achieve an asymmetrical triangular shape.

Wingspan: Approx. 69” / 175 cm.
Depth: Approx. 27.5” / 70 cm.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 5 skeins of Tukuwool Fingering by Tukuwool (100% Finnish wool, 219 yds / 200 m – 50 g), colourway Runo.

4 skeins of Silk Divine by Nature’s Luxury (60% mohair, 40% silk, 262 yds / 240 m – 20 g), colourway Ice Cube.

The yarns are held together throughout the project.

Or approx. 920 yds / 840 m of fingering weight yarn held together with 920 yds / 840 m of lace weight yarn or 1200 yds / 1100 m of a dk weight yarn held single.

Needles: US 6 / 4 mm 40” / 100 cm and 16” / 40 cm circular needles.

Notions: Stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, blocking pins, blocking mats, blocking wires.
