This cute handwarmer or muff isn’t just decorative - the double-layer and insulating air gap will keep little fingers warmer than mitts or gloves alone. The construction means it grips gently onto wee hands so there’s no need for a choke-hazard neck cord.

The pattern has full instructions for sizes 2-4 years, 3-8 years and 8-adult. You’ll need 1 x 100g skein of chunky wool for the smallest and 2 x 100g skeins for the largest two sizes.

I’ve included 2 instruction sets within the pattern: one for those who prefer to knit on straight needles and seam everything up afterwards, and another set for those who prefer to knit in the round and graft the edges, so that the final garment is entirely seam-free. That’s why this pattern is suitable for all levels of experience: beginner to advanced.

Like all my published patterns, please feel free to use the garments you knit from them for personal or commercial use as you see fit (send me a photo! I’d really love to see what you do with them!). The patterns themselves are copyright, though, so can’t be copied or reproduced in any way or for any purpose. As is usually the case with patterns.

PS It’s the perfect partner to my Rainbow Bobble Beanie
