Raya’s Blanket was designed in honor of the birth of a dear friend’s granddaughter.

The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners and up.

The 8 row repeat becomes easy to read once you’ve knit a couple of repeats.

You can easily modify the pattern by adding stitches in multiples of 6 and/or knitting to a longer length. If you modify the pattern, please purchase extra yarn.

You can knit the blanket in either DK, worsted, or bulky weight yarn.

*** DK Weight:**
I treated the Pima 100 like a DK weight. The yarn is a pleasure to knit with and, per the mom, “easy to wash, perfect size, calming colors and they love to snuggle with them”. I can’t think of a better endorsement.

The picture with the baby and the purple blanket were knit with the Berroco Pima 100.

928 yards on US #5 (3.75mm) 24”/60cm long circular needle.

*** Worsted Weight:**

743 yards on US #7 (5mm) 24”/60cm long circular needle.

*** Bulky Weight:**
(Gray blanket knit with Cascade 128 Superwash.)
450 yards on a US #10 (6mm) 24”/60cm long circular needle.
