A slouchy hat is a super quick gift to knit and has an added bonus – you don’t have to worry too much about fit! This hat starts with ribbing that flows into a beautiful, wavy lace stitch pattern. Swirling crown decreases give the piece an elegant finished look.

Yarn used for hat shown: Shibui, Staccato, 70% superwash merino/30% silk (191 yards/50 g), in color 116 Suit (1 skein)

Pattern Notes
Pattern is written for women’s small size with large size in parentheses. If only one instruction is given, it should be worked for both sizes. Small size shown.

Want an extra slouchy hat? Add extra repeats of the chart before moving to the crown decreases. End with rnd 14 or 28 of chart before working crown decreases. Every 14 rnds will add approx. 2” to the length of your hat.
