Remembrance Day Poppy
Remembrance Day Poppy. PATTERN AT THE BOTTOM
Terms are all in North American terms, but I will try to include UK terms as well <3 They are as follows:
sl st - Slip Stitch
ch - chain
sc - Single Crochet (UK - double crochet)
tr - Treble Crochet (or tripple crochet) (UK - Double Treble Crochet)
Materials:
4mm Hook
Red and Black worsted weight (#4) yarn (1 of each) I use Red Heart Soft in the colour Really Red and Black, but you can use any red and black yarn.
Darning needle for sewing in your tails
Broach pin that can be sewn on.
I may make revisions, as this pattern is relatively new to me as well, but for now here it is! Please let me see what you make if you decide to try! Also ask as many questions as you like, I’m here to help!
I used Red Heart yarn, as I was able to buy 2 large skeins of it and it was quite inexpensive considering. They work up so fast and use so little yarn, you can make a lot for very little.
I am not sure how much yardage each poppy uses. They end up about the same size as a poppy from the poppy fund, maybe a touch smaller.
Lastly: PLEASE Do not sell this pattern as your own, it is mine and it took a lot of time to figure it out just right. Feel free to add whatever you like to it, or use it in any way that is respectful. I make these around Remembrance day and sell them to family and friends and anyone who wants one really for donations of no set price, but every single penny I get from them goes to the Canadian Poppy Fund. I cover cost of all material and time.
