The Reversible Step Three Hat is the third in a series of patterns that introduces Fusion Knitting. This technique creates a fabric with drape similar to garter stitch and looks like a different colour on each side. This cowl is knit in the round starting and ending with a garter stitch border.

The MC yarn creates the design on the right side/outside of you the cowl. The CC yarn creates the design on the wrong side/inside of the cowl. This pattern creates cables that change direction. Picture tutorials are included to show how I work these cables.

It is not necessary to knit the Reversible Step One or Two Hat/Cowl before knitting this.

This series of patterns teach the cables used in the Reversible Coffee Moms Cowl & the Reversible Honeycomb Hat and Cowl.

Please use The Reversible Step Series thread to ask questions, discuss the patterns & show projects.

A matching Reversible Step Three Cowl is also available and uses the same techniques as the hat. The larger cowl shown is 48 inches long and 9.5 high. If you made the large cowl only 8 inches high, you can make both the hat and cowl from 2 skeins of each colour yarn. I recommend that you make the hat first as the cowl height is adjustable
