A simple but striking lace repeat travels the length of this two colour cowl. The main colour sections are slightly longer than the contrast colour ones adding to the interest.

Choose your favourite colour for the main shade and a complimentary or contrasting one for the second colour, or perhaps two colours which compliment your coat.

Rhombic is knitted flat in one piece and seamed. Seaming instructions are given in the pattern.

This cowl is suitable for the adventurous advance beginner or intermediate knitter. Techniques include directional decreases, yarn over increases including before and after knit and purl stitches. Wrong side rows contain both knit and purl stitches.
The lace pattern is charted as well as written and includes the edging stitches.

Yarn: You will need a total of 440m/480yds - 220m/240yds each of two colours in a DK weight yarn.
For the sample I used GGH Wollywashch which is 100% wool. I have also knitted a sample in Blacker Yarns Tamar Lustre Blend which knitted up beautifully. Use something that will block nicely to show the pattern to its best.
