This is the child version (boy’s sizes) of the sweater Ringbrynje.

Ringbrynje is the Danish word for a small armor made of small metal rings linked together.

The sweater/pullover is worked from the bottom edge and up with a multi-colored pattern on the yoke. The sweater has a combined round and raglan yoke and sleeve construction. The Sweater has a folded sleeve rib with a thumb hole. The pattern includes instructions for working a “helmet” (you will an additional 150-200 grams of yarn for the helmet).

The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 18 stitches per 10 centimeters (stockinette stitch) i.e. a yardage of approximate 90 meters per 50 grams.

This pattern includes directions for a size 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years with chest width of 73 (80, 84, 91, 98, 107) centimeters and a length of 43 (46, 51, 54, 57, 61) centimeters as well as a helmet/balaclava size 3/5, 6/9 and 10/14 years.

This pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is familiar with stranded knitting, a knitter who is able to follow written instructions, charts and work increases, decreases and short rows.

I have a loyalty program where you can choose a free pattern after purchasing my patterns for at minimum of § 25.0.
