ABOUT
The River Grove Wrap is unique in both shape and design. This trapezoidal wrap features a patchwork design, showcasing a medley of stitches and colour-blocking to create one unified piece. Within this pattern, you’ll explore ribbing, post stitches, and a mix of basic stitches to create unique textures. Symmetrical in shape, but asymmetrical in its stitch patterns and colour blocking, this stylish wrap can be worn in a variety of ways: around your neck and open like a scarf, over your back like a shawl, or bundled around your neck like an infinity scarf for ultimate warmth. Try adding tassels or pom poms to either corner for an even more fun, bold look!

If substituting Touch of Alpaca, choose any similar, category #4 worsted weight alpaca/acrylic yarn for a version similar to my sample shown. Note that changing the fiber content has the potential to change the drape of this scarf, so be sure to gauge swatch your chosen yarn to ensure you are happy with the resulting fabric.

Hook: Size U.S. K/10½ (6.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

Notions: Tapestry needle

GAUGE INFORMATION
Gauge: 4 x 4” 10 x 10 cm = 14 sc x 16 rows in single crochet

For gauge swatch: Ch 21.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch and in each ch across, turn. 20 sc
Row 2-20: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Block your swatch. Measure the inner 4” (10 cm) of your blocked swatch to get the most accurate measurement.

If your swatch is smaller than these measurements, go up a hook size. If your swatch is larger than these measurements, go down a hook size.

I used the same hook throughout the entire wrap, but if you find at any point that your gauge is changing between sections, feel free to go up or down a hook size for any given section.
