Road Trip is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. Front and back hems are first worked flat, and are then joined to work in the round. The body is intended to fit with between negative 2” to positive 6” of ease, while the sleeves are intended to fit with 20-40% negative ease. Don’t be alarmed by a sleeve that looks small – it’s very stretchy! As for the body, it really depends on your fit preference.

All-over cables create distinct diagonal lines on the body. Yoke shaping tapers the diagonal sections to a point just before a cable cross at the neck. Work will feel tight after completing the large cable crosses. This is normal, and will get easier to work with as the rows progress.

This design is a revamp of Open Road which appeared in the Winter 2019 issue of Knitty.

This pattern is also part of the Knit Picks Independent Designer Program.
