Rom is the Danish word for Rome (the capital of Italy).

Rom is a lace cowl worked in the round in two matching lace patterns. The cowl is worked from the bottom edge and up.

This pattern is made for at yarn with a yardage of approximately 210 meters per 50 grams and a 26 stitch gauge per 10 centimeters. The directions is a combination of written text and chart. The cowl pictured at Forum Augustus in Rome is worked in hand dyed merino yarn - dyed with walnut and indigo.

Pattern includes 3 sizes (1, 2 or 3 times around the neck). Width 30, 50 or 70 centimeters.

The pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is able to follow a chart, work in the round, follow written instructions and make stitches, increases and decreases as well ad I-cord cast on and I-cord bind off.

Materials: yarn, knitting needles and stitch markers.
