Rose Pink Capelet joins the series of shoulder shawl patterns in my collection designed to remain in place while being worn.

After a provisional crochet cast on with waste yarn, construction of the circular shape begins at the bottom with a lace pattern of 14 rows, which transitions to lace columns separated by stockinet areas. Periodic double decreases in the stockinet sections determine the shape of the shawl.
Finally, an encircling narrow garter trim of contrasting color begins at the neckline and continues around.

Four sizes of the capelet are included. If a size, other than the ones provided, is desired, additional cast on stitches may be added or subtracted in 32-stitch increments. Each 32-stitch increment measures 6.75 inches (17cm).

Millamia yarn was used for the body of the shawl and worked up beautifully. But any soft sport weight yarn could be used to make the capelet.
