“Rosenmond” (Rose moon) is an old German expression for the month of June. The pattern name was inspired by the yarn “Luna” and its color (and of course it’s a reference to my very first design “Junimond” from 2017 where I have also used the Wildflower Knot stitch).

The flowery center pieces, to be worked bottom-up, are surrounded by flat cables which are easy to work (without cable needle). Stitches are picked up from the edges, and the side panels and sleeves in Triple-stitch Knot are added sideways, which gives you the opportunity to adjust the width of the cardigan and the sleeve length at a late stage. The hem is added top-down, so you can adjust the cardigan length as well.

Needles: Main needle size is 3,75mm; 3,25mm for edges.
Gauge: 21 sts x 30 rows in Stockinette/ Wildflower Knot stitch.
Yarn: Approx. 1100/ 1220/ 1350/ 1470/ 1600 m
of a DK weight yarn. For my sample, I have used
Das Mondschaf Luna” (230m/ 100g, 100% wool:
a blend of Corridale, Shetland and Merino), in color “Ganymed“.

You will need 7 buttons, approx 1,8mm.

Worked at a gauge of 2 sts more/ less on 10cm, the piece will get approx. 10% smaller/ bigger.
