A cheerful and cuddly Elephant, about 6” tall and 8” from trunk tip to tail.

For an ADVENTUROUS BEGINNER knitter because the Elephant is knitted entirely flat on straight needles with only a few increases and short row shaping which is fully explained in the pattern. There are some sewn seams, Round Elephant is knitted in pieces and then sewn together.

Stockinette Stitch
Short Row Shaping (fully explained in the pattern)
KFB increase
3 Needle Bind Off
Sewing together using mattress stitch and fake grafting

MATERIALS REQUIRED
Approximately 160 yards of grey Worsted Weight yarn
US size 5 (3.75 mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Polyester fiberfill
Scrap of black yarn for the eyes
