The Rubellite is an asymmetrical triangular shawl worked sideways on the bias from one point to the opposite side of the triangle. The mosaic might look intricate but fear not; it is fun and easy to make.

The shawl is worked in one piece in a mosaic garter stitch, knitting back and forth in rows. Four colours were used for the sample. The shawl can be worked just in two colours or any number of colours.
The yarn weight and gauge is not crucial but will affect finished dimensions and yarn requirements.

The yarns used for the sample (size M):
Drops Merino Extra Fine, colourways #1 Off White,
#30 Mustard, #35 Dark Heather, #36 Amethyst
I had two skeins of each colour but had only a little bit left of the Dark Heather and Amethyst when finished.
