RUKI winter is a DK weight version of original RUKI. You can make an adult size in DK weight (or fingering weight yarn held double) and a child’s size in Sport or fingering weight. Socks are worked toe-up with a heel flap. Directions are written for the magic loop method with circular needles. The stitch patterns are charted only.

SIZES
Size 1 (2) / 44 (48) sts in the foot
Finished foot circumference: 18.5 (20) cm / 7¼ (8)”.
Foot length: adjustable (see next page)
Choose your size based on your foot circumference. Recommended fit is approx. 3-4.5 cm / 1¼-2“ of negative ease, in foot circumference.
The size can be customized with varying gauges. See the size chart in the pattern.

GAUGE
22-23 sts & 30-32 rnds = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch

YARN
90-100 g of DK weight or fingering weight held double for adult size
30-60 g of Fingering - Sport weight for child size

NEEDLES
US 3 / 3.25 mm-US 4 / 3.5 mm, main needle for adult sizes
US 1 / 2.25 mm, main needle for child sizes
Option: Circular needle one size smaller than the main needle
Adjust needle size to obtain gauge. Sample used 80 cm / 32” circular needle.
