Mittens Russian Winter
The mittens description is avaliable in Russian and English
The mittens are worked in the round using the Magic Loop method. The cuff is worked first, featuring a pattern of crossed knit stitches and combinations of wrapped stitches worked over a group of stitches. The body continues in Stockinette stitch, while simultaneously working a colorwork pattern in the Stranded/Jacquard technique with floats, and shaping the thumb gusset. Once the gusset is complete, the thumb stitches are placed on hold. The main body of the mitten is then worked according to the provided charts. The thumb is worked last.
