Sadie is a pretty little mouse knit in one piece, totally seamlessly, from the tip of her little nose to the tip of her pointy toes.

Sadie was born out of the most joyful collaboration with Wild and Woolly and The Wool Kitchen.

For now, the PDF is available in english only.

It includes instructions to knit the little mouse, a pair of trousers with braces, a fancy tartan vest, a pretty dressy dress for special occasions and a little pointy beanie.
Everything to equip your little mouse with a nice capsule wardrobe, perfect for playing dress-up !

Instructions are written to be worked either with DPNs or magic loop.

It is designed for fingering weight yarns.

Sadie is small as a mouse can be : 17 cm tall and light as a feather.

A perfect little project to make gifts for your loved ones, small and grown up, and to use up your scraps or your favorite and cherished miniskeins, maybe some leftovers from your own wardrobe !

AMOUNT OF YARN
° Knitted in fingering weight yarn, one little mouse fits into a mini skein (about 76 m / 83 yds)
° to knit all the clothes, you will need about 40 g (about 160 m / 174 yds)

As shown in pictures, Sadie is knit in a beautiful blend of Merino, yak and silk, selected by Wild and Woolly and her wardrobe is made of The Wool Kitchen beautiful colors, specially made available in mini-skeins for our little mouse.

As for all my patterns, the process is thought for the maker’s happiness of having a character truly emerging during the knitting, a very lively little soul appearing at a early stage of the making then growing organically stitch by stitch.

  • No seaming.
  • No assembling.
  • All the finishing done as you go, and face features added right from the beginning. When you’re done with the last stitch, you’re done with your little woolly friend too.

Sadie is made all in one piece from her little pointy nose to her little pointy feet. All the finishing is tackled as you go and you won’t have to worry about assembling pieces at the end.

All along, instructions are given to tackle the required finishing as you go, leaving only a small opening to close at the very end of the making.

Of course Sadie is tiny, so you must have a taste for fiddly knitting, but everything is provided in the pattern for you to succeed and have pleasure knitting her.

  • About the difficulty level : i would rate it between advanced beginners and intermediate. The only true prerequisite is knowing how to knit small circumferences in the round. On this basis, I worked at providing detailed instructions as well as extra tips and pictures, to offer a smooth process. If you’ve already knit a sock or a mitten, something small and tubular, then you can do it !

  • Instructions are written to be worked either with DPNs or magic loop.

At first sight, you might think that this pattern contains a lot of pages, and conclude that it’s a complicated knit. But do not run away ! If there are many pages, it’s because i want to share with you all the hints and tips that will make the knitting easier and even more enjoyable. Above everything, i would like you to be happy while knitting this cuddly toy and not just when you will have finished it. As passionate knitters, we all know that the process is already a thing that brings us joy, peace and balance, and this should also be true for toys, even if they are small things.

NEEDLES AND GAUGE
