Winter on the east coast of Vancouver Island is damp. A light, but insulating scarf is a necessity to endure the cool, creeping air on forest walks or beach cruising. The honeycomb garter stitch gives the scarf a double layer trapping air and warmth around the neck.

This scarf can be made to any size depending on how many skeins used or the weight of the yarn you begin with. One skein of sock yarn was used for the sample knit but more could be used if a bigger scarf is desired.

Gauge is not critical with this knit. At all. Whatever feels good, do it.

DK test knit is underway. As well as worsted weight. Stay tuned.
