The pattern has instructions for both cuff down and toe up socks. The heel can be knitted with or without gusset increases.

The pattern is written for magic loop, but can easily be modified for double pointed needles. You can knit the heel with the main colour. If you choose to use a contrast colour, 15 g is enough.

S (56 sts), M (64 sts), L (72 sts)

Yarn

100 g of fingering weight sock yarn, app. 420 m (440 yds) per 100g, in two colours, 100 g of MC and 15 g of CC.

The sample socks were knitted with Hjertegarn Aloe Sockwool in colourway 434 Light Grey (MC), 420 m/ 453.9 yds per 100 g and Chester Wool Company Karoo Sock in colourway Mustard (CC), 400 m/ 437 yds per 100 g.

Needles & notion

2.75 mm/ US 2 circular needle(80 cm/ 32 inches long or longer) or to meet the gauge
tapestry needle for weaving in ends
