Hope you’ll enjoy this pattern.

Schelpje (which means ‘little shell’ in Dutch), is worked in a tuck stitch variation that looks just as good on the wrong side as it does on the right side. The beautiful drop shaped ends are emphasized by a lovely, substantial I-cord that is worked around the entire scarf.
Schelpje was originally designed for the Knit on Texel retreat, as a practice piece for the Marram vest, and the shape and colors were inspired by the dune landscape of that beautiful island in the northwest of the Netherlands.
The pattern contains multiple variations for length and color, so unleash your inner stylist to play with yours!

CONSTRUCTION
Schelpje is worked flat from one end to the other. After the cast on, the beginning of the scarf is shaped with increases and decreases, resulting in a drop shape. Once the preferred length is reached, you will mirror the shaping, resulting in a drop shape at the other end of the scarf. Next, an applied I-cord is worked around the scarf.
There are two options for the length, long (so it can be wrapped twice) and short (for wrapping it once). You can choose between a scarf that is solid, has one row stripes, or two row stripes, which has consequences for how the Tuck Stitch pattern is worked.
