About
The Seaglass Sweater is a top-down, raglan sweater using only chains and single crochet stitches to create this textured fabric. This is a great long-sleeve top to wear in the spring + summer, worked in a chainette-style yarn from Lion Brand called Low Tide. Chainette yarns are great for to crochet with because there is no splitting to worry about!

Find the Lion Brand crochet kit here and you will receive the pattern + all the yarn you will need to create your desired size.

There are some helpful photos included in the pattern to help you work the more intermediate parts, such as the joining round and the underarms of the sleeves. This sweater begins with a foundation chain, then the yoke increases are worked. After the yoke is complete, there is a joining round to separate the sleeves and body. The body is worked next, then the sleeves are worked last.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited to be as correct as possible.

Sizing Info
This is a #sizeinclusive pattern, written for 9 sizes:
XS (S, M, L, XL)(2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) to fit bust sizes 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46) (48-50, 52-54, 56-58, 60-62)“ based on the CYC sizing standards. Since these are just sizing guidelines, there are instructions within the pattern to help you create a sweater that will suit your exact measurements ie. help on where to work additional (or fewer) rounds to customize the sleeve length, body length, etc.

This sweater is intended to be fitted. When choosing a size, choose a garment bust size that is anywhere from 0-2” larger than your actual bust measurement, depending on how much positive ease you would like in your sweater. If you’d prefer a more fitted sweater, you can size down for a garment with 0 ease, or even 1-2” of negative ease depending on your desired fit.
For reference, model has 34” bust and is wearing a size small with a garment bust measurement of 35”.

Yardage Info
Yarn: Lion Brand Low Tide in Palm (81% acrylic, 19% polyester)

5 (5, 6, 7, 7) (8, 9, 11, 12) skeins for sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X)

or 1250 (1400, 1600, 1850, 2050) (2320, 2670, 3100, 3400) yds of similar category 4, medium weight yarn that matches gauge

Yarn substitutions: I recommend using a light worsted or DK weight yarn to best mimic Low Tide. Although this is an acrylic and polyester fiber, it feels similar to a cotton or a linen to the touch. I would recommend using a cotton/breathable yarn if substituting.
