Woolith Fair 2016 Featured Pattern

To start off Vancouver’s first yarn crawl I am pleased to offer a shawl pattern free to all crawlers.

The inspiration for the Second Narrows Shawl belongs to one of the most traffic laden bridges in the lower mainland, the Second Narrows. This shawl incorporates two colors of fingering weight yarn and is perfect for a spring or summer evening here in Vancouver when the sun goes down. This is a great project to shop for while on the crawl as many of our stores have started receiving lovely yarn in colors perfect for the season and what a way to commemorate the first Woolith Fair!

If you are looking for a project to shop for during the crawl take advantage of this free pattern. It is also available on the Woolith Fair website (http://woolithfair.ca/) and from the West Coast knitters Guild (http://westcoastknitters.org/)

This shawl is well within the capability of an advanced beginner, ready to tackle their first shawl. It also retains enough interest for more experienced knitters, with patterned sections to break up the stockinette.

Enjoy!
