Sedum-hat is worked in the round from the brim up. The pattern has both written and charted instructions.

You can adjust the length by adding more pattern repeats for longer, more slouchy hat.

To fit head size 20, 22, 24 inches 50-52, 54-56, 58-60 cm.

Finished measurements

Brim finished circumference non stretched 37.5, 41.25, 45 cm/ 14 ¾, 16 ¼, 17 ¾ inches.
Body finished circumference 47, 51.5, 57 cm/ 18.5, 20 ¼, 22.5 inches.
Height approximately 20.5 cm/ 8 inches.

Yarn

50 -70 g of fingering weight yarn, app. 211 m (231 yds) per 50 g. The sample hat, size 120 brim, 144 sts body sts was knitted with Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper Weight, (100% Shetland), 114 m/125 yds per 25 g and used 35 g.

Needles & notions

2.75 mm/ US 2 and 3.25 mm/ US 3 (80 cm/ 32 inches or longer for magic loop) circular needle or size to get gauge, or set of four DPNs.

Markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge

32 sts x 48 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4 x 4 inches with smaller needles in k1, p1 ribbing stitch after blocking, not stretched.

28 sts x 48 rows = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches with bigger needles in pattern after moderate blocking (stretched width wise).
