If you have always wanted to knit, then this is perfect for you! We’ll start shawl school with casting on just ONE stitch and then learning from there (and don’t worry! I’ll be here to help you with all the before knitting parts as well!), if you have been curious about knitting an asymmetrical shawl, also the place for you! Finished Size: 98”/249 cm wingspan and 18”/45.5 cm point, unblocked.
Yarn: Destination Yarn, Postcard, 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon, 4 ply, 460 yards, 100 grams, 1 skein in Fox Theater.
Gauge: 20 sts/40rows= 4”/ 10 cm in Garter Stitch, before washing and blocking.
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 32”/ 80 or length preferred to work a large number of sts flat and size needed to obtain gauge, recommended needles: Signature Needle Arts, convertible circulars.
Notions: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends and wool wash of your choice. (A removable stitch marker can be helpful for keeping track of which side you are working).
