These patterns are for a modified shelf elf, in which the hands have been carefully detached from each other. We further have modified our elf by straightening out paperclips, and inserting them into the limbs of our elf. That step is not necessary in order to fit this outfit onto your elf, but is simply a modification suggestion. ☺
