The Sherpa Ear Warner and Cowl Crochet Patterns come with 2 separate PDF each with written instructions. They are made with exactly 2 skeins of Bernat Pipsqueak and 2 skeins of Red Heart Soft Essentials Yarn.

The Bernat Pipsqueak yarn is perfect for Sherpa feel. It’s super soft and cozy. Make the Ear Warmer and Cowl both with the Pipsqueak yarn first. This will be the inner liner. The outer liner is made with the Soft Essentials.

The gauge for the Pipsqueak is larger than the Soft Essentials. So, for the Ear Warmer a I 5.5mm hook is used for the Pipsqueak and a K 6.5mm for the Soft Essentials. Then, on the Cowl a K 6.5mm hook is used for the Pipsqueak and a L8mm for the Soft Essentials. Different hook sizes are used for the Ear Warmer and the Cowl, so the cowl can have more stretch.

Both of these will be sure to keep you warm this winter. They are both very thick. Pattern is written in adult size, but comes with a measurement chart to adjust for smaller sizes.
