A large, lightweight scarf is the ultimate accessory for summer; whether you stay in one place for the whole season or travel to the corners of the earth, summertime is simplified by having one great piece that serves a multitude of functions. This simple design with two options—each in two sizes (petite/large)—is a great example. Knit in a soft silk/linen blend as shown with stripes that are worked right into the fabric, it can be tied and retied in any configuration from head scarf to wrap skirt to beach towel. The pattern is so simple to work that a beginner can take it on with confidence, yet the dramatic results will satisfy any knitter.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.
