This shawl is inspired by the sands of Morecambe Bay. The sun shines on the small pools of water, and throws shadows over the ripples in the sands in the constantly changing light.

I have made this pattern to use 4 x 25g skeins of 4 ply yarn that I have been hand dying to produce 4 shades of the same colour.

Starting with 3 stitches and the lightest colour, increasing and working to the darkest colour at the cast off edge.

The pattern repeat is 38 rows, this changes colour with each repeat.
