The Simple Santa Hat is a bottom up hat worked in the round using fingering weight yarn. It is a perfect project to use your leftover stash. Use festive colours to make it jolly or play with colours to make it an everyday wearing hat.

Gauge:
26 sts x 33 rows = 4 inch / 10 cm stockinette stitch in the round with US 2.5 - 3 mm circular needles or size needles to obtain the gauge

US 2.5 - 3 mm 16 inch (40 cm) circular US 2.5 - 3 mm DPNs or 32 inch (80 cm) circular for magic loop (for decreases)

Size:
Adult - head size 22 inch (56 cm)

Finished size: 11.5 x 8 inches or 29 x 20 cm  

To make the hat bigger or smaller, just add or remove an equal number of stitches at the beginning and at the end of the round. Changing needle size and different yarn weight can also change the size of the hat.
