When designing the scarf, I took two elements into consideration: difficulty and structure. The main body and two ruffled edges are knitted separately in Garter stitch and then sewed in together.

I did it this way for two reasons: first, I wanted both ruffled edges to have the twisted cable cast on detail at the beginning, and second, since there is barely any fabric manipulation to create the ruffle, I’ve found that sewing in both pieces together gives it a more defined shape.

The Instructions are easy to follow and you can adapt the pattern to any size desired.

Happy knittings!
