This sock is worked from the cuff down in the round. The twisted stitch pattern draws its inspiration from a damped sinusoidal
wave and naturally transitions from a wider repeat into a narrow repeat as the pattern progresses.

  • Finished foot circumference 7 ½ (8, 8 ½, 9 ¼) in / 19 (20.5, 21,5, 23.5) cm. Shown in size 8 in.

  • Skill level – Intermediate difficulty – Knit, purl, working in the round, simple increases and decreases.

  • Yarn – 2 skeins of Wildfoote Luxury Sock Yarn (75% Washable Wool / 25% Nylon; 215yds / 197m / 50 g); #SY22, Peasant Blue.

  • Needles – US 1 (2.25 mm) set of dpns. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge. Stitch markers and tapestry needle.

  • Gauge – 28 sts and 40 rnds = 4 in / 10 cm in St st worked in the rnd. Widest cable rep (chart A) measures 20 sts = 2 ½ in / 6.5 cm across.
