Ignir Baby

I love knitting for little ones: choosing the colors, picturing the cardigan being worn, then looking for the buttons that will finish it. Ignir Baby is one of those projects you prepare with pleasure, for your own baby or for one on the way among your loved ones.
Its fine stripes run across the body and sleeves, framed by plain bands that outline the V-neck and the button band. In the colorways “Sel” and “Nuit” of Ulysse by De Rerum Natura, it takes on a nautical look I love. But any two other colors are enough to give it a whole new personality.
Ignir Baby is knit from the top down, without seams. The yoke is worked back and forth with raglan increases, then the body and sleeves continue separately. Offered from newborn to 18 months, it is a little cardigan to slip on over a bodysuit, to keep close at hand for a walk, or to tuck into a baby gift.
