This is a quick, easy to knit, cozy, comfortable hat! This is a perfect first knitting project. This pattern was designed for bulky, textured, colorful hand spun yarns. However any two contrasting colors of super bulky weight yarn will work well. It’s also a perfect project for using up bits of yarns in your stash. Just combine strands of yarn to create a super bulky yarn. This pattern is perfect for beginning knitters and will be enjoyed by experienced knitters as well!

SC - Solid Color Yarn

CC - Contrasting Color Yarn

K - Knit

P - Purl

K2tog - Knit two together

Gauge: 4x4 in. = 10 stitches and 14 rows.

Materials

Yarn:
1 skein, super bulky solid colored yarn (approx. 45 yards)
1 skein, super bulky colorful yarn (approx. 30 yards)

Needles:
Size 13—16” circular and
Size 13 double pointed to finish OR double pointed can be used for the entire hat.

A note on sizing: This is designed as a one-size-fits-all hat, but if you’d like to make a smaller or larger hat, you can just adjust the gauge by using a larger or smaller needle.
