This simple pattern has just enough interest to keep it fun, but is very simple and relaxing to knit and won’t take away from a lovely self-striping yarn. The lace panels are on the outside of either foot, and I used an afterthought heel in order to maintain the stripes in the yarn. This pattern is written cuff down but could easily be adapted for toe-up, and a different heel could absolutely be used if the afterthought heel isn’t preferred.

Size: S, (M, L) The length is easily adjusted.
Materials:
Yarn: Shown – Urth Uneek Fingering (435 yards/100 grams)
Recommended- 100 grams of any fingering weight sock yarn for mid-calf height, and 50 grams for ankle socks.
Needles: (US 1.5) 2.5 mm needles of choice (9” circs, long circ for magic loop or DPN’s)
Notions: stitch markers, darning needle for kitchener stitch and weaving in ends
Gauge: 10 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch
