Materials
Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Socks That Rock, Lightweight. 100% superwash merino; 4.5oz/127g; 360yds/329m Color: “Winter Solstice”.

Needles: US size 1 (2.5mm), set of 4 dpns.
(NOTE: If you tend to work cables tightly, or have wide ankles, or prefer a looser fit around the ankle, you may wish to go up a needle size and change to needle for gauge on the foot/stockinette portion.)

Gauge: 32 sts and 44 rnds = 4” in Stockinette stitch in the round (or 8 sts and 11 rnds = 1”)

Extras: at least 2 easily distinguishable stitch markers

Pattern Notes
Sock is worked with top-down construction.

The marker noting the beginning of each round is important. Due to the nature of the increases and decreases the stitches will shift around the needles and the marker will supply a steady indicator.

As noted under needle size:
If you 1) work cables and twisted stitches tightly, 2) prefer a loose fit around your ankle, or 3) have wide ankles, you may wish to go up an needle size for the ankle portion of the sock. Switch back to the recommended gauge for the foot/stockinette portion of your work.
