“Sofie´s cowl” is worked from the bottom up, with raglan shaping over the shoulders. It has a beautiful color work section at the neck which is adjusted for each size.

There is a lining/facing on the back of the color work section. This is to prevent yarn strands from being pulled out, for example by fingers getting into them. With the double layer, the neck collar will be thicker and will more easily stand straight up nicely. With the double layer, the cowl becomes extra nice and warm as well.

The pattern is thoroughly explained, with diagram for pattern, and video showing how to sew the front and lining/facing together.

Needles for yarn option 1
Circular needle 3.5 mm/4.0 US, 40 cm/16”, or the needle size you need to get the correct knitting gauge.
For the inside lining/back of the pattern section, it may be advantageous to use a half size smaller needle size than the rest of the cowl to avoid too much bulky fabric on the inside. For this part, I used circular needle 3 mm/2.5 US, 40 cm/16”.

“Sofies hals” har et nydelig mønster øverst som er nøye tilpasset hver størrelse slik at det går opp i hele rapporter.
Halsen strikkes med et belegg på baksiden av mønsteret, noe som gjør den ekstra varm og god.

Den er avsluttet ytterst på skuldrene, slik at den ikke bulker seg selv om den brukes under genser/jakke.

Halsen strikkes rundt, nedenfra og opp, med raglan.

Oppskriften er grundig forklart, med diagram for mønster, og video som viser hvordan du strikker sammen fremside og bakside/belegg.
