The pattern has both written and charted instructions for sizes 64 and 72 stitches. As the cables pull in, the legs are knitted with 68 and 76 stitches.

The pattern is written for magic loop, but can easily be modified for double pointed needles.

The toe up version has two options for the heel, normal stockinette and ribbed one. The cuff down version can be also knitted in rib.

Yarn:

100 g of fingering weight yarn, app. 420 m (440 yds)/100g. The sample socks were knitted with Regia 4-ply, 210m/230 yds per 50g.

Needles etc:

2.25-2.75 mm/ US 1-2 circular needle, 80 cm/ 32” or longer
Cable needle, marker, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge:

34 sts x 48 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4” x 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking.
