This very simple crescent-shaped shawl is designed to knit up quickly on fingering weight yarn. It is based on the common vine lace stitch pattern, and includes two options for the lace pattern and two options for the short rows, so you can mix and match to get a finished object that truly suits you. Its size is easily adjustable by adding or subtracting repeats of the lace chart.

It is worked from the bottom up and knit flat, using decreases and short rows to achieve the crescent shape.

This pattern uses between 420-550 yards of fingering or light fingering weight yarn. The yardage you use will depend on the lace and short row options you choose.

Guage is not critical with this pattern.
