I almost always have at least one pair of socks on the needles. Even though I tend to make a lot of vanilla socks, I also like to work on something more interesting from time to time.

Since they usually travel out and about with me, even the interesting socks have to be something easily memorized and not too difficult to work.

I think these socks fit the bill nicely. They have a nice texture and fit, but are still easy to pick up and put down. And I’m also a sucker for a good slip stitch pattern!

Sock is worked from the cuff down, with a flap heel and gusset. These socks may be worked on dpns, 2 circular needles, or 1 long circular needle using the “Magic Loop” method. Directions are given for the small size, with medium size in brackets. Where no brackets appear, directions apply to all sizes.
