Do you have a soul flower? A flower that you have always been drawn to and one that is special to you? My soul flower is lavender. I love the look of it and the relaxing qualities of the beautiful aroma. I love to look at photos of the rows of lavender in Provence, France that stretch into the horizon.

This scarf was designed for the yarn shop where I work, for the annual Fall yarn crawl in Texas. The color is “Lavender and Sage” and is a custom yarn color that was dyed just for the store by a very talented local yarn dyer, Savvy Skeins.

The scarf uses one skein of fingering or sock weight yarn of at least 430 yards, and is crocheted from side to side, starting at one tip and ending at the other tip of the scarf. The rows are crocheted on the diagonal with an easy to memorize stitch pattern. Then, without breaking the yarn, the scarf is turned and the tiny flower edging is added.

Feel free to use any color yarn that you like, or one that reminds you of our own soul flower. This scarf is the perfect one skein project with only two ends to sew in! Crochet Soul Flower for yourself, or as a gift for a special friend!
